We have been watching Mya this week while her parents are snorkeling and such in the Carribean and riding around on a cruise ship. It's been a blast to get to know her better and to watch her little mind at work. She keeps me busy and then she keeps me busier. And then even busier. And she's adorable. Here are some shots of some of this week's happenings.
We kept her up a little too late eating popcorn with grandpa on Saturday
night so she was a little too tired to eat lunch on Sunday. Why am I
never too tired to eat lunch? Or any other meal?

gonna go swimmin' in the new pool after the parade
watchin' the big trucks in the 4th of July parade
"these are pretty cool"
front row seat at the parade a block from our house
the hightlight for her was when she ran out
and picked up a piece of candy that they had
thrown--she was so delighted that she
actually got one before all the other kids--it
was the cutest thing!
swimmin' in the lion pool, getting out
occasionally to come eat a bite of chicken
and a french fry or two from grandma's
and grandpa's Wing Stop lunch
watching a cartoon on my kindle--she only
watches for about 2 minutes and then
she's off to do something else
"Where's Mya?"
She loves the new little pool and the little car we got. She has already ridden and pushed that car several miles I think. It makes lots of sounds and plays lots of tunes and she loves that.
She was so tired for the fireworks, and that may have been why she started to cry when they first went off but I wrapped her up in a blanket and sat her on my lap and started saying, "Pretty!" after each one and pretty soon she was asking for more. When I finally put her in bed that night at 10 pm, she zonked right out. BIG DAY. It was great!
The good thing about American Canyon on the 4th of July is that we walk half a block and around the corner and have front row seats for the parade and then at night we walk half a block and across the street, spread out our blanket and watch the fireworks. The parade's a little lame but the fireworks are pretty darn good.
Another favorite thing--eatin' popcorn with grandpa
Mya hasn't fussed at all about her parents being gone. She just says, "Mama pane, dada pane," which means mama and dada went on a plane. Thanks be to her other grandparents for taking her parents far away so we could have this golden opportunity.
